If you wish to accept credit card pre-reg for your tournament give me a call for details. It's seamless and it works.

I've talked about this for years. Is this for all tournaments?

You can accept credit cards through a paypal.com account. That's how I accept credit cards for my events.
Or go through titledisc.com, which is a great service run by and for disc golfers.
I'd question any service that just advertises out of the blue on the discussion page, though. No offense to Joe, but the "call for details" thing doesn't sit quite right. Post some details here before I make a toll call to find out.

DISContinuum just set up our account through PayPal. Our webmeisters are setting up auto forms so that online pre-reg is quick & easy.
Joe Weinshel has had this all set up for several Wisconsin events and it works great! Joe is doing this as a free service to TDs and has promoted disc golf furiously for years, so mistrust is not warranted here. Don't be dissin' Uncle Joe!!!

Jim,
Just saying what you did would alleviate most dis-trust. Had Joe said that he's been doing it in Wisconsin for years, I'd have had no reason to question him. That was my point.
I'm not from Wisconsin...how would I know who Joe is and what he does? Best way to find out is to ask questions and seek evidence. No hard feelings.

:-) Cool.
Joe hosts Rumbletown, Milwaukee Ice Bowl and more. Check out: http://www.unclejoes.net/
Hi folks & thanks for the kudos, Jim. I apologize for my original post if it came across as vague or questionable. Let's start over. I will try not to get long winded. My name is Joe Weinshel aka Uncle Joe - pdga 4907. I run a full service web hosting business, which includes merchant commerce.
I ran my first pdga tournament The Milwaukee Open in 1986. Currently, I run 2 events a year. The RumbleTown (pdga A-Tier) & The Real Ice Bowl. 1997-1998 I was general manager of the DGA and worked with Steady Ed to develop his first web presense discgolfassoc.com
My personal disc golf fun site is unclejoes.net. Recently, we installed a shopping cart style program to sell merch & services online. The goal was to to open a giant online co-op store where disc golf vendors, clubs, whoever, could have the opportunity to sell their stuff under one roof and get inexpensive exposure on the internet.
Accepting entry fees for your event is just another extension of services offered by the co-op. 35% of Real Ice Bowl 2003 entry's were by online credit card. That's large. It was also the first time I tried this.
Paypal is good - titledisc.com excellent. I'm just another ticket outlet to make it more convenient for your customers. Here's how it works: the buyer/player pays an additional 4% bank service fee which is $2/$50 and I send you, the TD a check for the full amount of entry fee. That's about it. When an entry transaction is completed you will receive a confirmation email which includes all player info.
BTW: Offering of tournament sponsorships at whatever level you wish via credit card. This works!
I've jawed enough. Thanks for the imput. Will try to stay more tuned to this thread.
