View Full Version : How to dye discs
Last weekend at Mr. Jim's in Carrollton Texas Steven Parker told me how he dyes his discs but it was during the round and I do not remember the steps he told me. If you read the board Steven could you post how you dye your discs? If anyone else knows how to dye disc could you please post the instructions. Thanks

Hey, James! /msgboard/images/clipart/happy.gif
I overheard/heard from a guy with some incredible dyes in Shreveport during the LA States (Curt/Kurt I think - I'm really crappy with names). He said something about a quarter part acetone with liquid RIT and making a mask to apply it out of sticky paper (like drawer liner, or sticky book covers). He said the acetone really helps bring out the colors, and I have to say his disks were truly badass.
I'd have payed closer attention to it, but I have enough trouble finding solid white discs when I lose them; start adding dyes, and they disappear into the trees, bushes, and even mowed grass. I can't throw them, but I respect the hell out of the art.
Hey Mark what’s up, you playing in the VPO next weekend? I need to go play vets and get some practice on that course before next weekend; I guess I will try to play it tomorrow. Hey do you know how to get in touch with Steven?
Daniel thanks for the info, I would like to try to dye one or two. Steven's discs he did look very cool but I want to understand what the process is before I try to do one

James, I am not playing in the VPO. /msgboard/images/clipart/sad.gif I'll contact you if I think I could go play some golf with you down there in Arlington - I have only played Veteran's Park once! I do not know how to get in touch with Steven. I'll see if I can ask some guys at the Lake Park today if I end up going to the mini at 2:00. Come on out this afternoon!
