View Full Version : Road Trip... Seattle to Cincinnati... Where to play?
On August 30th I'll be packing up a Budget rental truck and moving to Cincinnati, OH... I'll go through Spokane, Coeur D'Alene, Yellowstone, Devils Tower, Keystone, the southwest corner of Wisconsin, Chicago, Greensburg, and then to Cincinnati... my girlfriend will kill me if I play every course, but I think I can slip in 3 or 4 during the trip.
Any courses worth playing on the way? I know the course directory has a good number listed, but I'm just wondering if there are some that are more worthy than others... thanks. /msgboard/images/clipart/happy.gif

I-90 through southern MN? Stop in Austin, MN and play Todd Park. Construction on 11th Dr exit so take exit before which is 6th St exit. Mostly flat holes with long and short tees on most holes. Flat with some open, some wooded and all mowed. Score cards with a map by hole 1 and now there are signs directing you to the next hole. Long tees are long and will test your patience and short tees are, well, short. Depending on when you come through, I could play a round with you, so email me.
I've lived in the Seattle area most of my life... moved to Redmond when I was 3, then moved to Bellingham when I was 19, I'm about 3 months shy of my 24th birthday... the reason for the move to Cincinnati is partly for graduate school (they have a 10,000 square foot sculpture studio, whereas my current school's entire art complex is barely 10,000 square feet) partly for work...
I think I'll be going through MN around the 5th or 6th of September.

Going through Southwest Wisconsin, check out Token Creek in the Madison area (actually in Deforest). Its going to cost you $4 to play it, but is well worth the stop!
When you get to Idlewild, You'll be in cincinnati. If you want a couple of players to show you around this great course look me or fred salaz up on the www.cincinnatidiscgolf.com (http://www.cincinnatidiscgolf.com) website. It's a great course, Thanks again to Freddy Salaz and all those who spent the time to make this course a reality.
If you are moving to Cincinnati you'll be hooking yourself up. I can't believe my luck that I now live in such a disc golf rich area (I wasn't really into disc golf when I moved to the area in 1996). As Matt said, at the www.cincinnatidiscgolf.com (http://www.cincinnatidiscgolf.com) website there is a lot of info. Check out the "courses" tab and you'll see a map of the 19 courses in the greater Cincinnati area and links to more info about each of the courses: http://www.cincinnatidiscgolf.com/courses/index.htm
