Chillicothe, Ohio -- Great Seal State Park

the "grand opening" is next weekend, on saturday the 19th. i think most people around the area have heard about the round of doubles we're planning (BYOP, 10 or 20 per person?). there'll be 9 portables there, too, to make a 18-hole course. i've heard the course is looking great, although it plays pretty tough for beginners.

I finally got to go back to my hometown of Chillicothe and play the new course. It is one of the best nine holers I have played. I live in Charlotte, NC now and get to play great courses all the time. The Great Seal course is as beautiful and fun as any of the courses down here. Who designed it? I would like to buy that person a beer. I think I read somewhere that there is plans to put in another nine somewhere down the line. This course has the potential to be a pro-level tournament course with all the amenities (camping, shelter houses, restrooms). I can't wait to play a tourney there.

Anybody up for playing some COLD and WET golf on Tuesday - Thursday in Chillicothe or even in Columbus.

Hey CBlay, I'll be near Chilli on Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday is Christmas, of course, but I'll play whenever on those two days. Pick a time.

Marc, I can't wait to see it. Have you already laid out the new 9? I am going to be passing through Chillicothe during the BHMO. I already planned to play a round in Chilli on Friday morning before I head to C-Bus. I know the new 9 won't be done yet. Looks like I'll have to plan a trip for August to see my mom and dad.
