I have been playing at The Shorewood course for about the past 10 years, and I still play here at least once a week. First off it's close to me, but also I really like how the front 9 is pretty much through the woods with tight precision shots, and then the back 9 kinda opens up and lets you throw some good hard drives. This is a pretty busy course, and isn't the most beautiful of courses, but is a lot of fun and will test your game. Also currently in May 2010 there is road construction going on in front of the entrance, and it almost looks like the entrance is closed off, but you can still get into the park.. the entrance still has an opening.
played here for the first time less than a month ago.. and its an awesome course ... this is what frisbee golf is all about ..
I've played the course half a dozen times this summer and I really enjoy this course. The construction makes it a little tricky to find for the 1st time. I like the wide variety of holes. There are a bunch of people playing all the time. Stay away after the rains because some of the trails gets a little messy, but still fun. I encourage people to pick up garbage while you're playing through. It would be a lot nicer if players used the garbage cans. There's lots of shade in the course so you can play it in the middle of the day with no problem of over heating. There are signs on almost all the holes, but some or covered by signitures for aces.
It aint pretty but it gets the job done. not too easy but not too hard. good course for a begginer. not worth a special trip but if youre passing thru its worth the stop. fun to play
This is a FUN course. All of the holes are birdiable. This is especially fun for beginners or people that can't thow very far. I have been playing this course once every year or two for the past 15 years (I do not live in the state) and this past August I was appalled at the amount of litter on the course. Trash cans are located throughout the course but the slobs would rather leave their trash everywhere but in the cans. I feel for the regulars who have to pick up after the idiots that treat this nice park like a garbage dump.
