Course Description:
Front 9 open with elevation and spectacular views. From #9 walk 30' straight into the wooded 18 (mature oaks and lovely cedars) overlooking the North Oconee River. Challenging - tight and technical in the woods. Dual tees and alt. pins. Lightning DB-5 Baskets.

Directions:
From Atlanta; I-85 north to exit 140. Right on Hwy 82 south, 2 miles to a left on Hwy 82 at stop sign, 3 miles to the park on the right. Take 2nd entrance - after bridge turn right, 0.5 mile to gravel parking lot on left and 1st tee (across street from Old Village). Hurricane Shoals Park, 416 Hurricane Shoals Rd.
This course was very disappointing I'm afraid. The wooded holes (10-27), while at one time was no doubt very well laid out, is a mess of overgrowth, fallen trees and places to lose discs (not that far from fairways). It is clear that it is not being kept up, which is a shame as like I said, one can clearly see the lay-out was exceptionally done.
I actually got frustrated after losing a disc and left before getting through 9 of the 18 wooded holes. With all the courses there are to visit, I would think it unlikely I will return to this one.
