College Disc Golf Season Nearing The End
Selection Sunday - March 15th, 2015
The College Disc Golf 2014-2015 regular season comes to an end this Sunday, March 15th with the conclusion of the Bombing the Buttes and Gateway Collegiate Classic qualifier events. Four schools will earn their way into the National Collegiate Disc Golf Championships at those tournaments.
On Sunday night, it will be time to calculate the end-of-season Innova Collegiate Team Rankings, the Total Points Standings and award the last few spots into the 2015 National Championship. There are seven at-large berths to be handed out. The first one will go to the highest ranked team that participated that hasn't already qualified. Then, we will award two to the top schools with the highest total rankings points at the end of the season.
We also have four region-specific berths to award. These will be awarded based on the Total Points Standings to teams within the specified regions; two to the Upper Midwest, and one each to the Lower Midwest and the Northeast. You can find the full list of teams that have already earned their qualifications on the College Disc Golf website. Below are the current standings in each of the categories:
