Probably no surprise after his stellar performances in August. Yes, Paul McBeth is now the #1 ranked player in the World moving past Ricky Wysocki now second. Will Schusterick holds onto third and Nikko Locastro moves into fourth. Wysocki posted the highest ever special rating used for World Rankings having averaged 1050 with no double weighting over 109 rounds in B-tier and higher events from mid-July 2012 thru mid-July 2013.
Paige Pierce takes over first in the World for women after capturing her second World title with Valarie Jenkins slipping to second and Catrina Allen, previously tied for first, dropping to third. Sarah Cunningham moved up to fourth. The weekly battles among the top five women have been hard fought with all five having ratings in the 960s.
This World Ranking update does include the ranking results from Pro Worlds and the Vibram Open tour final. However, the (possibly) improved ratings some players may receive from those events will not be included until the next World Ranking update after both the USWDGC and USDGC are completed.
