The course was built in 2012 by Metro Parks in cooperation with the City of Fairview, Stumptown Disc Golf and sponsors such as Next Adventure and KEEN on 27 acres of land previously slated for a ball golf course. It is one of the best championship level courses on the West Coast and will be used for the upcoming United States Women's Disc Golf Championships and the 2014 PDGA Pro Disc Golf World Championships.
